1. The 2026 Landscape

Everything downstream in this playbook rests on understanding four shifts that happened between 2023 and 2026:

Instagram is now an AI-driven discovery engine. Followers no longer determine reach — the algorithm evaluates your last 9–12 posts, categorises your niche, and decides who sees what based on engagement velocity in the first 30–60 minutes. Follower count is a vanity number; what you post consistently is what matters.

Reels dominate discovery. Roughly 40–50% of your content should be short-form video. This is where new people find you. Static posts are for people who already follow you.

Wellness has one of the highest engagement rates on the platform. Wellness Reels average 5.2% engagement — about double the platform average. Viewers save wellness content at ~3x the rate of entertainment. Saves and DM shares are the #1 and #2 signals Instagram weighs.

DMs are where high-ticket closes happen. IG DMs get 80–90% open rates versus 20–25% for email. A one-minute reply in DMs converts 391% better than a 30-minute reply. For PEMF systems ($5K–$15K) and Nutagen programs, the sale never happens in a comment — it happens in a private conversation, and usually on a call after the DM.

The mental model to hold: your feed builds trust and authority. Your DMs make sales. Your Stories keep the conversation warm every single day.

2. The Framework

For every piece of content you post, ask: which stage of this journey does it serve?

Attract — Reels

Public discovery. Educational, story-driven, or emotionally resonant short videos designed to be watched by strangers who don't follow you yet. The job of these posts is to earn the follow.

Educate — Carousels + Reels

Save-worthy explainers, myths-vs-truth, "5 things I wish I knew," and mini-tutorials. The job here is to earn the save and position you as the person who actually knows this stuff.

Nurture — Stories + Photos + Lives

Everyday face-to-camera moments. Behind-the-scenes. Your family using the mat. Prayer time. Your Pilates class. These are shown to people who already follow you and build the personal relationship that makes high-ticket buying feel safe.

Convert — DMs

Every piece of content should point somewhere. Sometimes it's "save this for later." Sometimes it's "share with a friend." But the highest-converting call-to-action is "comment PURA VIDA and I'll DM you" — because that opens the private conversation where the actual close happens.

3. Your Five Content Pillars

Pick 4–5 pillars, stick to them for 60–90 days minimum, and rotate weekly so both your audience and the algorithm know what you do. For the PEMF Pura Vida brand, these five are recommended:

Pillar 1 — Faith + Mindset

Who you are and why you do this. Anchors trust. Your foundation.

The morning routine that starts with prayer

"How faith changed the way I approach healing"

Bible verses that ground your work

The mindset shift that made everything click

Your own story of healing / transformation

Pillar 2 — PEMF Education

What it is, why it works, the science, the six dimensions. Save-worthy explainers that make you the go-to authority.

"What is PEMF and why should you care?" (60-sec Reel)

The six dimensions of the Prime Hybrid explained (carousel)

Myth vs truth: PEMF edition

Why the earth's frequency matters — intelligent wellness inspired by nature

"How PEMF works with the body, not against it"

Pillar 3 — Real Results (Testimonials)

The proof. Real people, real outcomes. Follow FTC rules — always disclose the relationship and add a typical-results disclaimer.

Short client interviews (30–60 sec)

Written testimonial as a carousel with the client's own words

Before/after visualisations (sleep tracker screenshots, HRV improvements, energy scores)

"6 months in" reflection posts

Your family's own results — dad's back, kids' sleep, your headaches

Pillar 4 — Behind the Session

Lifestyle, personality, the visual world of your practice. Warms up cold followers into real relationships.

Studio walkthroughs

Day-in-the-life Reels

You + your family using the mat

Prep for a client session

Voice-over Reels sharing what you're thinking about

Pillar 5 — Nutagen + Epigenetic Nutrition

Your second revenue stream. Deserves its own pillar so followers understand it stands on its own.

"Your genes are not your destiny" — the epigenetics intro

Why targeted nutrition beats generic supplements

Client story: X weeks on Nutagen and what changed

How Nutagen pairs with PEMF for compounding results

What's actually in the box (unboxing/product carousel)

4. Post Formats and Mix

Recommended weekly mix

40–50% Reels (discovery engine)

20–30% Carousels (educational — save-worthy)

10–15% Static photos (personality + connection)

Daily Stories on Instagram — 5–7 slides per day

The 70/20/10 content rule

70% evergreen value (works forever, no expiry)

20% trend-driven (jump on a trending audio or format if it fits your voice)

10% experimental (test a new format — Live, longer video, poll, whatever)

Format-specific tips

Reels: first 1–2 seconds decide whether someone keeps watching. Open with a strong visual hook and a bold on-screen text statement. Keep them 15–45 seconds unless the story genuinely needs longer. Post as a Reel, then re-share to Stories the same day.

Carousels: in 2026 the winning carousels are lighter on text and heavier on personality. Slide 1 is a hook. Slides 2–8 each deliver one clear thought. Final slide is a CTA. Use big bold fonts — text must be legible on a phone in the feed (aim for 32–40pt body minimum on a 1080-wide slide).

Photos: reserved for real personality shots — face-to-camera, family, moments that build the relationship. Not product shots.

Stories: daily rhythm. At least twice a week include a poll, quiz, or question sticker — those directly drive people into your DMs.

5. Posting Cadence and Timing

How often

3–4 posts per week on Instagram is the sustainable minimum for solo creators.

Below 3 posts per week, the algorithm stops distributing your content to non-followers. Consistency compounds.

Post daily Stories — 5 to 7 slides per day, ideally spaced through the morning and evening.

Facebook: 3 posts per week is fine — the platform rewards depth over frequency.

7. The DM-to-Sale Funnel

This is the section that pays.

Follow it exactly.

The rule for high-ticket

You do not close a $5,000–$15,000 PEMF system in a DM. Ever. The DM is a qualification tool and a booking tool. Its only job is to move the person from public follower to a private conversation, and from there to a scheduled call where the actual sale happens. Trying to pitch inside the DM kills the sale.

The five-step funnel

Step 1 — Trigger. A post with a comment-based CTA: "Comment PURA VIDA and I'll send you the details." Comment-to-DM automations deliver 40–70% first-message click-through, versus 0.5–2% from a "link in bio" from the same post.

Step 2 — Open. The DM opens with warmth and a question — not a pitch. Response speed matters: a one-minute reply converts 391% better than a 30-minute reply.

Step 3 — Qualify. Two or three short questions that identify whether this person is genuinely a fit and what they're actually looking for. This is where you learn if they're a serious buyer, a curious browser, or a bad fit.

Step 4 — Route. For qualified buyers, offer a short discovery call — 15 minutes, free, no pressure. Send a Calendly (or similar) link inside the DM. Track who books.

Step 5 — Close. The call is where you handle objections and quote. Keep a soft close on the first call and a follow-up sequence for people who need to think.

Why this works

DMs are private — buyers feel safe asking real questions

Video calls build trust in ways text and video posts can't

You control the environment, pace, and objection-handling

You capture the buyer at their highest-intent moment — right after they engaged with your content

8. DM Scripts and Templates

Comment trigger → first DM

Post caption ends with: "Comment PURA VIDA below and I'll DM you the free guide." Auto-reply or manual reply within one minute:

Hi [name]! Thanks so much for commenting on my post 🪷 Here's the guide I promised: [link or resource]. Quick question so I can be actually useful — what got you interested in PEMF specifically? Is it for you, someone in your family, or your practice?

If they're curious for themselves

Follow-up: Love that. Are you dealing with anything specific — sleep, pain, energy, nervous system — or is it more of a "want to be ahead of it" thing? Just want to point you toward the right stuff.

If they're a qualified buyer

The book-the-call move: Here's what I'd recommend — a free 15-minute call so we can walk through what would actually make sense for your situation. Zero pressure. Here's my calendar: [link]. Grab whatever time works.

If they're not ready

Nurture path: Totally get it. I'll send you my "5 things to try first" carousel — it's a great starting point. And I'll check back in a couple weeks? Sound good?

Objection: "It's expensive"

Reframe: I hear you. Two things — the Prime Hybrid is a one-time investment your whole family uses (not a monthly recurring cost), and we do offer financing that breaks it into manageable payments. On the call we can figure out what fits. Want me to send the payment options ahead of time?

Follow-up sequence for cold leads

Day 3: check-in + a testimonial that matches their situation

Day 7: send a free resource (guide, Reel, article)

Day 14: ask if anything has changed for them

Day 30: offer to jump on a call

9. Stories Strategy

Stories are the daily glue between your bigger posts. They are the single easiest way to fill your DMs.

The daily rhythm

5–7 Stories per day, split between morning (2–4) and evening (2–4)

At least twice a week: include a poll, quiz, question sticker, or emoji slider — these directly drive DM replies

At least once a week: share a real Story from your day (worship, Pilates, mat session, kids)

Re-share your latest post to Stories the day it drops

Save the best Story sets into Highlights, organized by topic

10. Collabs and Growth Tactics

The single highest-leverage growth tactic on Instagram in 2026 is the Collab Post. Co-authored content appears on both accounts simultaneously and is served to both audiences — often 2–5x-ing your reach overnight.

Who to collab with

Adjacent, not competing niches: Pilates instructors, nutritionists, faith-based wellness coaches, functional medicine doctors, sleep coaches, chiropractors

Your Pilates studio (@PuraVidaPilates)

Health coaches serving women in their 40s

Local practitioners you already trust

Collab content that works

Trading expertise Reels ("She teaches you Pilates, I'll show you the recovery side")

Joint testimonials of a shared client

Round-table Lives on a topic ("Faith, movement, and healing")

"Day in the life" swap Reels

Other growth tactics

Weekly IG Live on a fixed day/time — trains the algorithm to distribute and trains your audience to show up

Feature a client testimonial every Friday — turns clients into micro-collabs

Repurpose Reels to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest — free extra reach with zero extra creation

11. Targeted Virality — Reach That Actually Converts

Every social-media guru talks about going viral. For most creators, that is the goal. For you, it is a trap you have to be careful of.

The trap

A Reel with 500,000 views from teenagers, tourists, and other-side-of-the-world browsers is worth less to your business than a Reel with 8,000 views from women in their 40s who care about their sleep, their nervous system, and their family. Chasing vanity reach can actively hurt you — the algorithm reads a spike of low-intent viewers and starts serving your next posts to that same wrong audience.

What you actually want is targeted virality: engineered hits that spike inside the specific audience most likely to buy.

The mechanics that drive it (in order of impact)

Hook in the first 1.3 seconds. Instagram scores watch-time from frame one. Open on movement, a bold on-screen text hook, or a striking visual. Skip the intro and the logo card.

Rewatch loops. If the last frame flows into the first, viewers loop and the algorithm reads that as a strong signal to boost.

Retention above average. Aim for 75%+ average view time. Under 45 seconds is the wellness sweet spot; 15–30 seconds is optimal for punchy takes.

Comment velocity in the first hour. End the Reel on a real question and reply to every comment within 60 minutes.

Trending audio with your unique twist. The audio brings viewers to the door — your take is what makes them stay and share.

Share-worthy AND save-worthy content. Wellness content saves at 3x the platform average. Content people want to bookmark or send to a friend gets the strongest amplification.

Wellness-niche viral formats

Mindshift reveal — "I used to believe X. Now I know Y." Fast pacing, emotional, one clean turn.

Contrarian truth — "Everyone thinks PEMF is a fancy heating pad. It is not." Frame around personal experience, never medical claims.

Show-me-how POV — No talking head. POV footage with big on-screen text explaining what you are doing and why.

Transformation timeline — Six seconds representing six months. Before/after cuts to a trending audio beat.

Contrarian day-in-the-life — "Nobody warned me it takes this many tools to feel this good at 42." Half-joking then reveal.

Micro-teach — One insight in 15 seconds. Implied CTA. Zero fluff.

Five viral-shot Reel ideas built for your brand

1. "Everyone talks about the six dimensions. Nobody explains what actually happens in your body when you lie down." Fast cuts, on-screen text, dramatic reveal at the end.

2. Split-screen: you at 25 vs you at 42, caption: "Which one has better sleep, energy and HRV? The 42-year-old. Here is why." Contrarian and hooky.

3. POV of a Prime Hybrid session start-to-finish, sped up to 20 seconds, ending on your face-to-camera: "That is what one session did."

4. "Three things I stopped doing when I got serious about longevity." Faith-adjacent, personal, punchy.

5. Trending audio + you deadpan holding up: "PEMF." → "Nutagen." → "Prayer." → "Pilates." → "That is it. That is the post."

If one starts to take off — the amplification play

You will usually know within 2–3 hours (views climbing fast, comments coming in). When it happens:

Pin your best comment (usually one that sparks discussion or a great question you asked yourself)

Reply to every single new comment in the first few hours — comment velocity is the biggest algorithmic signal on takeoff

Share the Reel to your Stories with a soft CTA ("This is blowing up — go add your thoughts")

Within 24 hours post a companion carousel or follow-up Reel that goes deeper on the same topic — riding the wave with a second post is how one hit turns into a month of momentum

If the Reel is clearly landing with your ideal buyer, spend $30–$100 to boost it — you are paying to feed the algorithm more of what it is already saying works

Guardrails — stay in the audience you can actually sell to

Speak in the language your ideal buyer uses (not viral-teen slang, not trend-chasing gimmicks)

Anchor every hook in a benefit that only your ideal buyer cares about

If a Reel is going viral for the wrong reasons (rage-baiting, tourist appeal, gag humour), consider deleting it — the algorithm follow-through will hurt your next 3–4 posts

Never sacrifice brand voice for reach — a viral moment that feels off-brand costs more than it earns

12. Hashtags in 2026

Hashtags matter less than they used to. The algorithm now categorises your content mostly by what's in the video and caption. Do not stuff 30 hashtags — it looks spammy and dilutes signal.

The 2026 hashtag rule

3–5 targeted hashtags maximum per post

Prefer small-to-mid volume (5K–500K posts) — you're more discoverable inside those

One brand hashtag every post (#PEMFPuraVida) — trains the algorithm and builds your searchable body of work

One community hashtag — hashtags a real community uses (#PilatesReformer, #Biohacking40s) beat generic vanity tags

Suggested starter set for your brand

#PEMFPuraVida (your brand — always)

#PEMFTherapy

#CellularHealing or #6DimensionalHealing

#Nutagen or #EpigeneticNutrition

One niche/community tag rotated per post:

#WomenInTheir40s #FaithAndWellness #BiohackingWoman #HolisticLongevity #IntelligentWellness

13. Compliance and Ethics

This section is not optional. Both PEMF devices and nutritional supplements are regulated. Follow these rules and your team will thank you.

PEMF language

Do not claim PEMF cures, treats, or diagnoses any disease

Use language like "supports the body's own healing," "may help with," "many clients report"

— not "will cure"

Never say PEMF is a substitute for medical care

When in doubt: describe your personal experience, not medical outcomes

Nutagen / supplement claims

Do not claim any supplement diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any disease

The safe phrasing is "supports normal [energy, sleep, immune function, etc.]"

Include a general disclaimer once on your profile ("These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA…")

Testimonials (FTC)

Every testimonial post must disclose the relationship (client, family, friend, paid or unpaid)

If results are not typical, say so

Use "#ad" or "#partner" if you are compensated in any way to feature something

Network marketing / income claims

Never post income screenshots without an income disclosure

Avoid "you can make $X" claims unless you have full statistics to support them

Talk about the opportunity in terms of skill-building, community, and personal transformation — safer and more true

15. The Metrics That Actually Matter

Ignore vanity numbers. Track the ones that turn into money.

Watch these weekly

Saves per post — the #1 algorithm signal for wellness content

Shares per post — the #2 algorithm signal

New DM conversations started

Comment-to-DM conversion rate

Booked discovery calls

Sales originating from social

Ignore (or hold lightly)

Follower count

Total likes

Impressions on a single post that didn't lead to a DM

An account with 3,000 engaged followers that starts 20 real DM conversations a week will out-earn an account with 30,000 disengaged followers every time.

16. A 30-Day Kickstart Plan

Week 1 — Foundations

Audit your current bio, profile picture, and Highlights — is it obvious in 3 seconds who you help and what you offer?

Lock in your 4–5 content pillars

Film and post 3 Reels — one from each of your first three pillars

Post daily Stories (aim for 5 per day)

Set your comment-to-DM auto-reply for one signature CTA phrase

Week 2 — Rhythm + DMs

Lock the weekly rhythm from Section 13

Add one Q&A or poll Story every day

Reply to every DM within 5 minutes if humanly possible

Start reaching out for your first Collab Post — DM 3 adjacent-niche creators

Week 3 — Collab + Live

Publish your first Collab Post

Host your first IG Live

Ask 2 clients if they'll share their story on your feed (with disclosure)

Book your first 3 discovery calls from DMs

Week 4 — Analyse and double down

Open Instagram Insights — which post got the most saves? Shares? DMs?

Recreate the winning format 2–3 more times

Consider $20–$50 boosted post on the top organic Reel to accelerate reach

Review your calendar of booked calls — refine the DM script based on what objections keep coming up
